This Yoga Alliance accredited training is 100% virtual and designed to fold into your busy life. There are ten live weekends on Zoom which are recorded, so if you can’t make portions of the live training, you can simply watch the recordings on demand. There are also pre-recorded videos you can view at your own pace. You have access to all of the videos for one year and you have one year to complete your requirements.

“Chrissy teaches people HOW to TEACH, a skill that is vital to yoga education and, in my experience, sorely lacking in many programs. Chrissy has the unique ability to teach virtually with absolute presence and truly sees and hears everyone in attendance.”

FAQs

I really want to do a 200-hour Teacher Training but I’m nervous! How do I know I’m ready?

This is such a great question! I think you know you’re ready when you find yourself craving more than what you can learn in a 60-minute yoga class. This training is the deep dive into the practice and will cover everything from alignment, anatomy, sequencing, philosophy, and subtle body. Also, you don’t have to have a fancy practice to do a 200-hour teacher training. This training isn’t about advanced poses—it’s about honing your skills in action.

What if I’m not interested in teaching professionally? Can I take this training if I want to deepen my understanding of yoga?

Yes! Absolutely. The 200-hour teacher training is perfect for invested students who are interested in deepening their practice. This program will enrich your understanding of yoga and, by extension, yourself.

Is a virtual training really equivalent to an in-person training? I’m worried that it just won’t be the same.

Honestly, if you had asked me this question five years ago, I would’ve told you that the only way to do a training was in-person. Not anymore. After almost four years of teaching trainings online, I have to say that I actually prefer virtual to in-person. Here’s why. First and foremost, it makes doing a teacher training possible for people with busy lives, which is basically everyone. Secondly, you can go back and rewatch lectures, retake classes, and relearn material. That’s huge. Lastly, technology allows us to come together from all over the world and from many walks of life which brings more depth and dimension to the training.

Let me end with this. I do think it takes a special skill to hold peoples’ attention on Zoom and make people feel seen and heard. I have that skill. Combined with over 20 years of teaching and extensive experience as a trainer, you can rest assured that you are in the best possible hands.

Is there homework?

Yes. The homework is designed to support your learning. I offer personalized feedback to help you implement your work.

I’m interested but I still have questions. Is it possible to connect one-on-one?

Yes! I’d love to connect with you and answer your questions! You can reach out to me directly here. Let’s set up a time to chat!

“I was very skeptical how a training model that places an emphasis on in-person contact and observation could be offered online. Chrissy is able to transcend the screen and see a group of learners with kind, deeply insightful and keen eyes. It is nothing short of a superpower.”
