To be a good teacher, you need to be a good studen

To be a good teacher, you need to be a good student. You need to study the topic you’re teaching, but you also need to study teaching — because knowing the topic doesn’t mean you know how to TEACH the topic.

This is where a lot of yoga teacher trainings miss the mark. You could learn all the things but if you’re not ALSO learning WHY or HOW to communicate what you know, your teaching will fall flat. What’s more, you’ll feel like an imposter — regurgitating and imitating — without truly owning the topic or your voice.

This is why I created a training grounded in mentorship. Because, if you know me, you know my passion — my superpower — is teaching people how to teach. Regardless of whether or not you actually WANT to teach, learning HOW to teach gives you an opportunity to author your experience. It solidifies the learning process.

Feels like we’ve officially merged onto the holida

Feels like we’ve officially merged onto the holiday highway with a lot of anxious drivers frantically changing lanes and riding our tails, pushing us to go faster. Every time I open this app, I get Christmas whiplash. There are cars whizzing by me in the fast lane fueled by the endless barrage of content pressuring them to do it all, thinking “I’m already behind!” It’s true, the holidays are coming — they’ll be here before we know it, and there’s a lot to do. But what if we chose to drive in the slow lane? What if we pulled off the highway from time to time to appreciate the view? This is a friendly reminder to enjoy the drive. You can arrive at the destination on your own time and in your own way. You do not need to be wearing matching pajamas. Do what you WANT to do — not what you think you *have* to do. Let the inspiration come from within and spread joy, not stress, this holiday season. xx
