Some photos from our epic retreat in Dominica. We swam to hidden waterfalls and hiked to mountain tops, practiced yoga twice a day and hung out by the pool. It was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. To share this experience with my students was EVERYTHING. Old friends were reunited and new friendships were born. And omg what a thrill it was to watch some of my students meet for the first time in person after having practiced together on Zoom multiple times a week for years! WILD. Jungle Bay was magical and welcomed us back with open arms. It was like coming home. ❤️

Enjoying a slow morning because it’s gonna be another busy day of preparations before I leave tomorrow. It’s really hitting me today how special this trip is going to be. This is my first international retreat in 10 years and also my 10th retreat to @junglebaydominica ! Feels very full circle. I can’t WAIT to share this experience with my students. ❤️ Oh, and I’ll be teaching my Saturday 9am class live from Dominica, so maybe you’ll *be* there too ☺️

So happy to share a recent interview I did with @agoodhome as part of her series of conversations with female founders. I adore Chelsea’s work and feel lucky to call her a friend and neighbor. TGIF! We’re hosting this weekend and I’ve got cheese plates on my mind. Thought I’d share a few quick tips.

Three cheeses is enough unless it’s a party.

Go for different textures and/or do one cow/goat/sheep.

Take the cheese out of the fridge a couple of hours before you serve and let it come to room temp.

You don’t have to go crazy with the nibbles. Focus on texture and contrast in flavor.

Add something fresh, like fruit or veg.

Choose a plate or board that’s almost too small.

Keep it simple. It doesn’t have to be elaborate to be delicious.

Lastly, have fun with it and don’t stress. When you stress, you suck the joy right out of it and what’s a cheese plate if not joy?! No one cares what it looks like. People just want to eat cheese and be close to you and connect.

Bon weekend and maybe make a cheese plate just because?
